Twilight

Is anyone out there a fan of Stephanie Meyers' Twilight series?

I just finished Twilight and would love to debrief!

Ooh, yes! I LOVE this series, and I can't wait til August when the fourth (final?) book comes out. I read them out of order - New Moon first, then hunted down Twilight and hung out for Eclipse. Glad I did it that way too, because I think the emotionally charged writing in New Moon was what made me fall in love with it, and that's not as powerful in the first book. But you haven't read them yet... :)

Ooooh ... So I've only read the first one, started New Moon last night (of course!). Do you think the fourth one will be the last one?

I'm glad I read Twilight first. I just so got caught up in the romance and the falling in love and stuff.

But ... can I ask you one thing? The whole Vampires having cold, hard (as marble) bodies? Kind of a turn off, isn't it?

Love them. Still haven't managed to start Eclipse yet - I got out of the loop and haven't picked it up again yet.

Loved Twilight, loved New Moon (but in different ways), as it hit my romance-lovin' buttons as well as my vampire-lovin' ones.

And I agree with you about the cold thing. Not fun to snuggle with a statue.

See I just don't get how you curl up and get snuggly with a cold hard thing. I guess that's the angsty bit of their relationship - and you always have to have one. Plus the whole, not being allowed to get all passionate in the kissing thing.

But I loved it. It just so got my high school love story buttons pushed. And I *so* want to find a guy that loves me as much as Edward loves Bella. Sigh.

But Liz, I must ask - what vampire lovin' buttons did it push? There's not all that much with the vampires in Twilight, I didn't think?

Oh I just love reading vampires... there was enough to satisfy me :)

And yeah, the whole want <-> can't tension works well in these books.

i have the same feeling as alisa. Now i want to find someone i love and who loves me as much as Edward. Which is kind of hard on the guys out there cuz he is like the perfect guy.
sigh
yeah anyway iv only read the first book and i LOVE it but i cant find any of the others anywhere, its driving me mental.......

I thought that too - that Edward is the perfect guy, who can match up? But he is a *bit* insipid or maybe just too perfect. Also there's the constant description of his cold, hard body that's a tad off putting and one thing real boys have over him. I think.

Have you checked your local library for the other two books?
